Mushroom compost is rather 'on the nose' too. I had the kids empty the
trailer of a load of mushroom compost, and they were not happy. :-((
Does anyone over there (on the other side of the planet) grow worms? Worm
farming is becoming a very big industry in Aus., with some local councils
using them as a method of waste disposal, and many, many gardeners (and
fishermen) growing them in 'worm farms' in the back yard. The castings are
extremely rich plant fertiliser. Has anyone used worm castings on irises?
