Pat; Sorry to hear about the damage but as yu say it can't be helped at
times. I would suggest trimming damaged foliage and loosening the compacted
ground around the plants and getting back into your regular routine
perhaps a little extra water ) and Knowing iris they will respond to TLC.
You might loose a season but I doubt it. Bill
