CULT:RHIZOME ROT

Hello everyone, Michelle here. I purchased "CELESTIAL FLAME" TB from a
reputable nursery. Unfortunately when I bought it, I thought the
rhizome was a little soft, but being a novice, I was not for sure.
After doing a lot or reading, I went and rechecked the rhizome. Sure
enough there was rot. I removed the affected area and cut back the
rhizome until all that was there was the normal cream colored meat. The
sad thing is that the rhizome is now only 1" wide and 1/4" thick. Do
you think it will survive or should I just throw it away?
