Re: CULT:JI Heat

Hi ,
My one Japanese iris is blooming here in Kentucky. It is very tall. I
haven't measured it yet , but it seems 40 " or so. Its name is ROSEWATER. I
love it, but the leaves are crinkled like an accordian, so I have been giving
it more water. We are in a very dry period and although ROSEWATER is growing
in an old compost pile in an area that was too wet last year to grow
tomatoes, this year it is not wet enough for the Japanese Iris. It has 2
bloomstalks, one with 4 buds & one with only 3. The first 2 blooms have faded,
and I am on my second bud for each stalk. The flowers are maybe 8" across.
Gorgeous.
I have a scanner, but I don't know how to scan to a file.
