Thanks, Walter. It's nice to know that some judges will consult with the
exhibitor. A few years ago, one stalk got disqualified because one judge
thought the colouring was wrong and the others weren't familiar with it.
The exhibitor (who is also a judge) was disgusted.
We have bought all the old checklists and all the sectional checklists. We
are debating the 1990s checklists now. Not many newer cultivars have
appeared at the shows. We may wait for decennial checklist.
I'm sorry to hear you had problems with your fingers -- it must have been
frustrating. I have heard of people typing with their toes...
