Re: HYB: bee pods?

From: RYFigge@aol.com

Dear Linda, I thought I had answered this beepod question this a.m. -- but
guess I pushed the wrong button. I never have hybridized -- for one thing, I
don't have the space, but i have friends that do -- and they spend so much
time trying to figure out what crosses to make to get results they hope for
--- so I can apprciate the panel discussion on hybridizingsl -- made up of
Region 4 hybridizers who were outstandihng - plus our guest speaker- and
either then or later when Sterling Inners (from Region 3) said that someone
in ages past said it took 17 generations to put something IN an iriss and
17 to.get something-you-=don-t want OUT of an iris -- and he was not going to
confuse the issue with a beepod with no inkling of what may be included.
I'm sending him a copy, but he may not have time to read his emaio now, but
you couod check with him/ However, I can see that beepods couod be fun
--like opening pandorra's box --- or even my closet door! Surprise! If I
had the time and energy and soace, -- and younger (but then I think of
Currier!) I'd do it -- it is fun creating something new! Rosalie nr
