Best "clump effect" irises in my garden this year:

RUFFLED FEATHERS
WILD CARD
ALMADEN
WABASH
SWEET MUSETTE
SANTANA
FANFARON
DESERT ECHO
SORCERESS

Now, this list can change from year to year, depending
on size of the clump, sequence of bloom, bud count, etc. I
would have had a longer list, but a lot of stalks decided
to fall over this year, which doesn't make for a nice
clump. Some of these didn't necessarily have the best bud
counts, but as a group they looked great.

One of the best clump effect irises I saw this year was
Gary Sides' SIDESTITCH - and it was from 3 first year
plants. LOTS of stalks!!!
