I'm with Betty here. It is simply not the way I approach it at all. 
Furthermore it is not my own perception that this list has been insensitive 
to members outside the USA, especially those who participate actively. 

List members are unique individuals. They can only be who they are, where 
they are, and contribute to the list from their own unique perspectives. 
People from any one numerically dominant geographical location cannot 
unilaterally confer an international aspect to the list. That can only come 
from the active participation of people from all locations, which, I am 
confident, would be most welcome.
