Merle & Linda Roberts live in Grand Coulee, Washington -- not far from
the fabulous Grand Coulee Dam from whence we in the productive Columbia
Basin get our irrigation water. Merle published a small catalog in '96
and '97, but not for the past 2 years. He has introduced only a few
Iris, but they are very nice ones -- COLUMBIA SPRINGS '96 & SHOPTALK
'97, and he has another that either came out in '99 or is due in 2000.
Forgot the name, but perhaps it's on his website. He also grows some of
Gerry Richardson's interesting broken color seedlings, and he did have
some of them on the website when I last looked. Since he is within
driving distance, we've visited his garden several times and are still
hoping to have him as a guest speaker at one of our club meetings, but
have had difficulty contacting him. He did attend our Region 13 Fall
Meeting, and we are hoping that he & Linda will be more available in
2000. They are really nice folks and we'd very much like to persuade
them to come into our club.
