Re: CULT: VOODOO

Hello Kathy and all,
I have had a lot of success in deterring cats from using my garden as a
litterbox by using simple household ammonia. I bury large prescription
vials into my soil, leaving about 1 inch of the vial above the soil level.
I pour sudsing ammonia cleaner full strength into the vial.
Experimentation has shown that the vials need to be about 4 feet apart; any
greater distance is less effective. You only have to concentrate the vials
(or babyfood jars or whatever small containers) in the part of the garden
that the cats like; they return to the scene of the crime, ya know? I
usually refill the containers once just for insurance, but normally have no
new evidence of trespassing once the containers are in place.
Hope this will help. I love cats and have 3 of my own that love being in
the garden with me, and I have great neighbors however.....
