Walta, I saw this in bud only this year --it looked like a broken color bud
to me--not that I am very knowledgeable about broken color. Unfortunately it
was a small first year plant, and what with commuting between old garden and
new home this past summer, I didn't get back until the flower was gone. I
hope it likes its new digs this year!
