Re: COMP: mouse problems

From: linda Mann <lmann@mailhub.icx.net>

Hi Lucy - welcome to cyber iris central.

Thanks for the tip about viruses and mice. In my case, I'm pretty sure
its problems are related to being slammed on the floor one too many
times. I use a laptop while sitting in my recliner, and run the mouse
on the arm of the recliner. It keeps sliding off and slamming into the
floor, but even worse, I occasionally get my feet tangled in the cord
when I've left the laptop on the coffee table with the mouse cord looped
down to the floor. Gives ferocious leverage for slinging the poor thing
across the room :<. It's a wonder it hasn't busted long before now. It
started stuttering immediately after the last 'incident'. It was
totally useless for awhile, but is more or less working now as long as I
make sure to keep an eye on what it does when I'm not watching :)
