I'm a daddy! My seeds are germinating at an incredible rate now. Almost
by the hour you can count the new seedlings that have emerged....everything
from MDBs through TBs and of course all those ABs, and some beardless.
It's really interesting that some pots show over 50% germination and other
pots have 0% germination. I imagine by the end of the month most all of
them be well on their way.
Last year I harvested & planted over 2,250 seeds from 75 intentional
crosses. If they all germinate and survive I could be in well over my
head, but what a wonderful problem to have, eh? Too many irises!
I guess the next big question is "Now what do I do?"
