Veering off topic here, but in reviewing some literature related to
short-rotation (energy crop) forestry, I ran across a paper about
successful use of willow in Czechoslovakia to take up hippopotamus
"manure" (manurey water). This was a pollution control thing, not quite
the same as using zoo poop for iris fertilizer. But this shows there
are data out there on nutrient content of various types of zoo poop!
There was some other 'species' of poop they looked at, but I especially
remember the reference to hippo poop.
