I don't have any experience with Zoo-poo, but for the last 3 years, I have
been using Llama manure (I really prefer calling it Llama Lleavings) on japanese,
siberian, and spuria iris beds. I haven't tried it with bearded irises yet. It
is wonderful for beardless irises though, especially those heavy feeders like
japanese and spurias. Llama Lleavings - sounds like a trade name, doesn't it -
is great stuff. It doesn't have as strong an odor as cow or horse manure, in my
biased opinion. Besides, its great fun watching the llamas while you're loading
up the lleavings. Llamas are very inquisitive, gentle, beautiful creatures. One
of our local club members has about 30 head, so I'm lucky to have the lleavings
readily available. I just trade her some irises for llama lleavings. Works out
great.
