As President of the North East Ohio Iris Society, I hope to make it to the
Affiliates Meeting in Dallas.
One problem we have is that people will join at one of our shows or at the
iris auction, but they never attend even one meeting. They don't know
whether they will like the meetings, programs, etc., because they never give
them a try. We send meeting notices to them even past the time of their
membership, and some have been telephoned, but nothing happens. A couple of
people said they paid for a membership just to be sure they got the notice
for the annual iris auction, but weren't interested in attending meetings.
