Hmm, this is getting interesting. As I live in the northern part of Taiwan, the
winter is usually above
50 F. But from time to time, the temp will dip to 40F. The damp part can be
remedied by watering and frankly speaking, Taiwan's winter is kind of rainy. A
lot of orchids need to be protected from winter rain at here to form buds. As
for a hot and DRY summer, I think this is really a challenge. Taiwan's summer
has a lot of thunderstorm, so I guess I will have to use a very light material
that don't hold much water to plant it and also use pot rather than planting
them on the ground.
Maybe there is hope to have bearded iris in Taiwan after all :)
