Pots would be a great idea, with sand mixed with the soil for drainage. I
grow my Aril bred irises like that, and I shelter them from the summer rain,
as they are dormant in summer and like to be very dry.
Rosalie mentioned chilling in the refrigerater. I remember someone tried
this some time ago. I wonder if that would work?
You get strange comments from friends and family if your fridge is full of
plants and seeds, instead of food. :-)
I would be interested in seeds from your I. formosa some time in the future.
Perhaps we could trade for PCI seeds, or even some seeds from bearded iris
crosses.
You need to check on Taiwanese quarantine restrictions before you import or
export plant material. They may have this information on the internet.
Australia is OK for most seeds, but plants have to go through quarantine.
