Hi Chuck!
Carolyn Schaffner here, from WNYIS across the border.
You mentioned walking on heaved iris. Do you then cover the rhizomes
with soil? I've LOTS of heaved Iris out there, and many which (a couple
of weeks ago) had no roots. They were growing their foliage, but... I
worry! They look good right now but I wonder what more I should do about
those that heaved.
Most of the Iris I received from you last season were planted in pots
because time got away from me. They are MAAA VAA LASS!
Except, guess which one!! My fault, I'm sher.
Welcome to IRISDOM! Hope you can put July 2 on your calendar for a visit
to WNYIS (and WNYHosta Society and BADS -- daylily) Exhibit at the
Japanese Gardens on Nottingham Terrace, near the HIstorical Society. A
Japanese Iris Show is in the works! We're hoping for vendors, too.
