'On a clear day....' It is almost forever, however:
In R.E. pod leg -->Ghio 88-14 -->Ghio 83-73-J2 -->Ghio 83-73K
-->Success Story (Ghio 86)
In R.E. pollen leg -->Ghio 88-215 -->Ghio 86-3, Costa Rica sib
-->Ghio 83-73K -->Success Story (Ghio 86)
In S.S. -->Ghio 76-52M -->Mystique (Ghio 75)
Mystique goes back to Black Forest (R. Schreiner 44) a couple of
ways...one through a succession of Ghio numbered seedlings, the other
through Black Satin (Nesmith 51)
On dilution, we are talking 16 generations to B.F.in one case and 17
in the other. The amazing thing about aphylla is that it will
'submarine' along for untold generations and then pop up, expressed
as though it were within a generation or so.
