Walter -- couldn't tell you. Last time I heard, the AIS had invited the TBIS
to have a meeting at the convention, and then withdrew the invitation. Then,
I heard that the AIS idea was to do the Society for Louisiana Iris thing they
did years ago, which was to create a Louisiana Iris Society section to
"compete" with the real group in Lafayette. Real tricky, and real silly. Oh
well. Still think the best thing is for time to continue to work its magic,
and I know that almost everyone at TBIS is over the whole nonsense. Thanks
for your comments on all kinds of iris subjects. Your enthusiasm, as always,
is wonderful, and keeps me enthused despite the demands of the law practice.
All good wishes, Abe (Stockton California, where at this time not a single
seed has germinated from crosses made one year ago, and the sweating is
starting. I usually line them out by April 15, 2001, and can have bloom one
year later).
