BEST BET will settle down after a few years of adjustment to its new
home, but FEATURE ATTRACTION never has, and I refuse to try it again
unless somebody locally had success and will offer me a rhizome from
their clump. The first rhizome I got was bald and died over the
winter. The replacement had one tiny increase and also died over the
winter. I would never ship a bald rhizome, but I paid $40 for one!
In some cases the diggers and packagers are not irisarians and don't
know what they are putting in the boxes.
My last experience with a bloomout cultivar was with PRISCILLA OF
CORINTH, and it is a rebloomer! Figure that one out! It was not
replaced because the supplier had bloomout on it, too.
