Yes. Annually when we sprayed the orchards (west of Fruitland during
our Idaho years) we hit the iris beds and all the rest of the
ornamentals too. They looked "burned" for a few days, but recovered
quickly, and the new growth as it came was pest and disease free for
quite some time.
We did have problems with thrip during bloom season on occasion, and
the dormant spray didn't do a thing for Botrytis contol--sanitation
was the key on that, and keeping winter soil temps lower if
possible. But we had very little problem with leaf spot and other
summer pests after we started the dormant oil treatment.
