OT:Little boxes

Now that it's seed-starting season, I have a tip to share.  Last year 
in our area, and I suspect over the country, little tomatoes called 
"grape tomatoes" became very popular.  They were sold in plastic 
boxes with vents in both the bottom and the hinged, snap-top lid.  I 
saved quite a number of these boxes.

They are ideal for starting seeds.  The vents in the bottom provide 
good drainage, and the snap-tops keep the atmosphere inside 
humid--but not too humid, because they too have vents.  The tops 
close tightly and you can simply write the name of the variety, 
cross, or whatever, on the lid with a spirit-soluble marker.

Likewise, the deeper trays in which some cuts of meat are now packed 
are of the same size and shape of seed-starting trays that used to be 
sold in garden centers but seem to have disappeared.

There is just some sort of satisfaction in being able to recycle 
these things for the garden.
