Well, that explains the lack of enthusiasm by more knowledgable 
people than myself over a seedling at the OKC convention that had 
multiple branches, the lowest from the base, and five blooms open at 
once.

Last spring in Washington I saw a Terry Aitken seedling he called "25 
buds."  A nice ruffled blue of moderate size. That bud count was no 
exaggeration, but I do not have any information on the length of the 
bloom period.

The long-term solution to the problem of length of bloom is to focus 
on breeding for plants that bloom as soon as the rhizomes reach the 
right size.  I would assume that folks are working on this through 
rebloomer breeding.  Any comments, Mike?
