We moved all the irises in our business, they were dug over a period of a
month and replanted over the next several months. Some were out of the
ground for 4-6 months and most survived. We had a vast surplus of Wedding
Vow which was dumped in a disused shower alcove (in the shed) while we
thought what to do with it. 18 months later some of it was still trying to
grow. However I would recommend planting within a few weeks of receiving
your stock.
