Hi guys,
I hope I'm not too late with my favorites. We changed our e-mail address,
but I forgot to change it with Yahoo for the list and my list of favorites
was returned to me. So, here goes again.
My top ten favorites:
Mesmerizer - Byers 1990; My favorite Space-Ager. Incredible reblooming
ruffled white with red beard. Flounces and fertile.
Clarence - Zurbrigg 1990; Std of white ground, tinted violet and falls
very light blue violet. Not a high bud count here, 7 tops, but Oh what a
show. Reliable rebloomer.
Autumn Circus - Ben Hager 1990; White with purple pepper on standards;
pepper changes to lines radiating from beard on falls. Another reliable
rebloomer and great bud count. White
Stately Art - Terry Aitken 1997; This Iris is so beautiful in my garden that
it doesn't look real - a vision on tall, straight stems. The R&I says it is
medium blue, but here in the far northern coastal area of California, it is
to the lavender side of blue, diamond dusted. Easily my favorite last year
among the 1 year clumps!
Crimson Snow - Blythe 1987; - my husband says it reminds him of a little
girl dressed up for Sunday School with a lovely pink blouse and a burgundy
velvet skirt.
Conjuration - Byers 1988; White standards very lightly edged with pale
violet blue. Ruffled. Beautiful flower.
Stairway to Heaven - Lauer; DM winner and well deserved. Reblooms in my
garden. Beautiful creamy white standards, over light blue falls.
Exquisite!
Silverado - Schreiner 1986 - Another DM winner and rightfully so. Beautiful
icy blue, ruffled.
Crystal Cathedral - Ben Hager 1983. Ruffled, very pale lavender.
Hello Darkness - Schreiner 1992; Ruffled and the best-growing black for me.
Very popular in my garden - I sell a lot of it and fortunately, it's a
prolific grower here.
