Hello Talkers:
Yes, Harold Stassen is now deceased, having died only a few years ago.
However, as he relates to the Dykes, it is appropriate to recall that
Stassen was a real leader in his time, a man of intellect, ability, and
political moderation. Those who voted for him can hold high their
heads...and AIS judges who vote for non-TB cultivars can also take
consolation in the fact that the best candidate often does not win in
either elective or horticultural politics!
