I can vouch for this, at least as far as MTB's grow...I had 12 or so and now 
I'm down to five or six that seem to be surviving, but they sure don't bloom 
well here.   The jury is out on SDB's...there are quite a few doing well 
here, but it's a gamble with others.
I'd love to see more warm-climate friendly SDB's hybridized (i'm sure you're 
working on this Suttons....)
