Looking at the photo, it might or might not be the same as the LADY MOHR I
grow. As Francelle noticed, it has a tendency to vary in color depending on
the weather. This is true of a number of arilbreds here. Last year when it
remained cool, damp and often overcast during the bloom season, the colors
and markings were intense and enhanced compared to other years. Some to the
degree they almost didn't appear to be the same blooms they'd had before.
LM exhibits this trait. Unlike Francelle, I have tried to set pods on LM.
Twice I've gotten a pod, once with one seed and last year a pod with 5 seeds
(alas, these ended as a katydid meal after I shelled it and set down on a
table in the garage for about an hour...all devoured). No living plants
have resulted from the crosses. The wash on mine has been smoother and has
not shown to be as freckled as in the photo, but that wash has ranged from a
green/brown olive to having a definite purple cast. The yellow has varied
from a clear pale champagne to a more solid opaque yellow. My source was
Argyle Acres.
