Gee whiz, what a buncha rain - total nearly 5 inches Sunday & another 4
yesterday; more due in the next 24 hrs. The irises are planted mostly
on 'high ground' , but my driveway bridge, which is about 15 ft above
the normal creek level has gone under twice since this all started & it
has been a major river out there. By no conscious plan, I seem to have
irises planted in the field almost to the edge of the contour line of
where the floodwaters reached. Except for a few clumps currently being
tested for their ability to breathe underwater <g>
