This sounds like a true statement to me, I know I say it or think it all
the time about my seedlings.
If you compare them with what's out there including all the older
varieties, you realize that they are better than half the stuff on the
market, and I bet your new hybrids are way better than most the things
that people grow, you wait and see, your very own babies will look better
than most things from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
Except maybe for the few 'state of the art" introductions that come out
each year.
