CULT: Performance of AMs

So far, in our Region 7/24 growers poll, no iris on the AM list was
reported by all 6 growers. Growers include 1 in MS, 3 in TN, and 2 in
KY. These are the 15 irises that are reported to perform <better than
average> for all who reported (at least 2 different places). So far,
nothing has been reported <dead> by everybody who's tried to grow it
(exception being where only one person has tried). But several have
been better than average for some, dead for others. I guess I need to
add that this is NOT a statistically valid survey - just some 'over the
backyard fence' sharing of experiences.

rated as better than average by all 5 who grow it
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN (Larry Lauer) - big surprise <g>

rated as better than average by 3 growers
ACOMA (T. Magee)
CELEBRATION SONG (Schreiner's)
CLASSIC LOOK (Schreiner's)
DEBBIE REYNOLDS (O. Schick)
RHONDA FLEMING (R. Mullin)
WAR CHIEF (Schreiner's)

rated as better than average by 2 growers
CROSS CURRENT (K. Keppel)
HUCKLEBERRY FUDGE — James Gibson
NORA EILEEN — Gerald Richardson
POEM OF ECSTASY — Ben Hager
ROMANTIC EVENING (J. Ghio)
TIGER HONEY Brad Kasperek
TOTAL RECALL (B. Hager)
VALENTINE’S DAY — Vernon Wood

There are several others that were reported better than average by some,
but average, good growth but problems with bloom, or dead by others. I
found some typos (made by me) in the entries, so I'm not going to post
the whole thing again till everybody gets a chance to check to make sure
I got what they sent entered correctly.

Isn't this fun? I also have a few data points for the HMs but will wait
to post those.
