Thanks for that tidbit Chris.

120 days would be equivalent to around 4 months of winter - probably any
puny Mediterranean/west coast genes would be pretty unhappy after that
much winter.  Plus that might be about as much winter as is normal for
any of the ancestral bearded iris species?

I will modify my plans a bit and will try removing some seeds from the
fridge from each of these stubborn crosses now, some in a couple of
weeks, and the rest at the end of March, rather than moving the whole
lot of seeds in and out of the fridge.  That will be a lot less trouble.

Also good to know I'm not the only one not necessarily getting any
germination in the fridge.
