Hey all you closet scientists,
Does anyone know anything about the embryotic life of a seed?
Like, what would an iris seed be doing inside if you disected it right now?
Three weeks ago. If you squeezed it would it pop like a pimple? Do the
wrinkles go away before it germinates (someone's recent post said they wait
for the seeds to get all black and wrinkly, but I don't remember the
specific context).
Some of you have said that the babies look like grass. How long to they
look like grass? Will I be able to tell them from grass before my husband
decides it's time to mow? (Did I already mention that one of my seed flats
got flipped over in the grass by the porch?)
Can you tell I've never done this before?
;P
