Francelle, I'm so glad you brought this up about birds.  
Yes, if anybody has any suggestions for birds, please let me know also.
I don't have a problem but my neighbors iris flowers are shredded to bits
by mocking birds. Last year so many were destroyed and this year
his first two blooms on different plants are just ragged. Doesn't matter
what color the flower is. At first we thought they were going after
insects but there are none, next we thought the birds may have mistaken
the beard for a caterpillar, but these mocking birds are shredding
standards
and falls and they are not eating them because the pieces end up on the
ground.
It's much to large an area for bird netting.
