Most immediate for me is the possibiliy that one might eventually
develop/hybridize an iris with the fan being totally purple/red by paying
attention to this characteristic. Much like some cannas in existance now.
This would be quite striking with a gold or white bloom. Less immediate is
the off chance that it might be a visual cue linked to some mysterious,
hidden, but yet to be identified plant trait. You gotta' collect the data
before it can be analyzed. Course if you leave data out because it don't have
much PBF the data is distorted and it's value reduced.
