Hi Chris,

I have only grown 1/4 breds and have had good luck (they bloom!)
with those hybridized by the late Fred Gadd of Connecticut. Try
to find his stuff...I made a cursory search of some catalogues
this morning but really pressed for time this week. If you can
get it, try PATRIOT'S GEM (registered in 1988 and introduced by
Lynn Markham in 1993. It got a HM in '95, AM in '97 and the Mohr
Medal in '99). It is a wonderful blue and most like 'Aril' to
my eye. Have to remember that these are only 1/4 bred.

Ellen (snow is melting and I am worried about the gardens -
frosted this morning :-(
