In large parts of this country (or I should say world), the
crops, not just ornamentals, are weather-dependent. "Cliche"?
No, it is not. Being from a part of the world where we feel
lucky to grow anything at all half the time.  We feel lucky to
have our beautiful flowers even tho' we might be considered to
have an abbreviated bloom season, we rejoice in it.

Some of us have been following the ups and downs of each other's
iris growing 'problems' for years....and maybe it seems that we 
do get caught up in the weather-related problems relating to
iris  survival and bloom - but it shouldn't be reduced to a
cliche by any means. Hope that can be understood.
