Re: CULT: grower proof irises (was...something else


Once again, Neil has coined a descriptor I like.

Maybe we can form a hybridizer's consortium - "Grower Proof Irises in
the Vale of Despair", featuring cultivars that are neglect, heat,
freeze/thaw, flood, and drought resistant.....

I don't have the energy to do it, but am wondering if it's safe yet to
encourage growth by fertilizing.  I already feel stalks forming in fans
of PACIFIC DESTINY (??!) and my seedling SDB BEING BUSY lookalike.  The
next two weeks are when the usual killer freeze is scheduled.
