Wanganui is a coastal town in the North Island. Soil would I think be acid
and the winters fairly mild, frosts but no snow. Summer temps mid 20s oC.
Not as humid as some other parts of NZ but not Mediterranean either. Not
drought prone, more winter than summer rain.
