GardenWeb isn't a mailing list.  It's a forum.  All communication happens 
within the forum, so no messages are emailed unless you specifically 
request that replies to your own posts be mailed to you.

GardenWeb only provides a certain number of pages per forum with a set 
number of threads per page.  So every time a new post is created, the 
last one on the last page gets bumped off and disappears forever.  There 
is no permanent archive of old messages.

There is a search utility at the bottom of each forum page, but I *think* 
it only searches subject lines (and therefore is of very limited 
usefulness in finding specific topics of interest).
