Thanks Laurie. So I guess gardenweb is more like a bulletin board? My
understanding of these computer forums is pretty limited.
The first time I went to gardenweb, I think the search utility was just
for subject lines, but the last time I went, it was more - I know I was
able to search for Neil's posts (because he signs them) and for other
content words. I think I was also able to hunt for posts by email
address. Seems like it only searches for single words.
Each returned 'hit' was part of a thread which could then be accessed
post by post.
<There is a search utility at the bottom of each forum page, but I
*think*
it only searches subject lines (and therefore is of
very limited
usefulness in finding specific topics of interest).
