I have been told that waterproof labels must be made with a laser printer. 
I do not have personal experience otherwise, but trust my source, a friend 
who has had good results with water proof labels printed by a laser printer. 
Many copy shops will now do this for a nominal fee if you provide the WORD 
or similar file with the label format set.
