Betty, I also got the following note offlist that I thought others would
be interested in hearing. Did yours leak too?
I've experimented with small, homemade applicators, trying to simplify
applying concentrated Roundup to cut stumps, and also ran into a mess.
Guess I better do some online research before rushing into this, and
will probably buy a cheap sponge mop in the mean time. Maybe that will
be enough to make the wind quit blowing <g>
Fred, is this your first experience with a wick type?
<I must warn you about those wipe on weeders. The ad sounded so good
that I ordered one over a year ago. I
used it once. The problemit leaked. I tightened every joint but I had
Roundup coming out every place but
where it was supposed to. I had it on my shoes, my hands, and dripping
on plants I didnt want it on. I think its
still in the garage where everything useless gets stashed. I think a
sponge mop would work better. At least it
couldnt be worse than the one I tried.>
<....Sideswipe. I have one, which I use from time to time, but I
find it a bit awkward. Betty W. in South-central KY Zone 6>
