Re: HYB: help for newbie

Each year, it seems, I have at least one batch of seeds that I have to label
(for instance) "Red Rover x Pink Panther OR Grey Mouse". Almost invariably,
this resulted from trying to save time by making more than one cross without
stopping to tag each one immediately after making the cross. No matter how
one tries, while you are in the middle of this a neighbor will come by to
talk, the phone will ring or something else will distract. The only
solution I can think of is to not move to the next flower until you have
tagged the one you just pollinated. But easier said than done. -- Griff

learned something from that page (academyhouse.mystarband.net) !

them to tag the cross! I have a few pots of seedlings waking up from winter
right now that are "iffy" pots. I know what the pod parents are, but the
pollens parents are an "either or" situation! :-(
