It is pretty. Does not grow well here in alkaline pH (if at all). Does not
grow well for a friend near here in acid pH. Does not grow well. This would not
keep me from using it. Using it would be no worse than using a substantard
bloomed seedling as a bridge plant.
I think you correct concerning best bloom from the few I've seen.
Mid America sent one (I remember not the name) to the OSIS auction year
before last. Should be in his '03 catalog. Clownin', I tried to sell it without
giving a description. Nobody would bid. When I said "white with a red beard", I
could no longer afford it.
Spect ole Mogensen is doin' somebody a real favor with his advice.
