CHRISTMAS RUBIES has been used in many of the newer white with red beards.
Did I forget to mention that it hasn't bloomed for me since my good iris
friend sent it to me? Maybe this year.
Out crossing to other colors may be the only way to improve the growth
habit. NORDICA is pretty and grew well in Alvaton; however, it is not from white
breeding. (Not saying not to use it.)
FOGBOUND is new here and looks about average. Some of the new irises have
taken off like a house afire (including HOUSE AFIRE) while others have died .
. . BLUEBERRY BLISS & AMITY ESTATES. I bought several last year that are
reported to be weak growers in this area. I'm hoping we don't get a late freeze
in the next three weeks because it could change my survival rate
drastically. Everything is definitely growing.
