Mike,
I think by the time you notice brown spots on the leaves the poison is
thoroughly through the system of the plant. It probably will depend on
how much & how strong the solution was as to whether or not the iris
will survive. (bad, bad landscapers!!!!!!) I got enough spray on mine
last year to produce some really funky blooms. Very malformed. But the
plants never had a spot on the leaves so I wasn't sure until I asked
this group what could have caused it. My plants look fine. I hope yours
make it. I don't really think cutting any more of the leaves off will
help at this point but maybe someone else has an idea. Good luck.

<Last week I discovered that our new landscapers, who were spraying some
sort of herbicide on weeds around our homes, got some of the poison on
four of my irises at the front of their bed. The result is large brown
discolored spots on the leaves. Should I cut these leaves out? Leave
them alone? One was so bad that I cut the whole fan down for fear it
would spread-then I started thinking I should ask for feedback from
those of you who might know the hardiness level of the plants. These are
all tall bearded varieties.
I'd appreciate any advice.
