Barbara, did you grow CAIRO LADY? I bought it several times but could not
keep it alive. VIGILANTE would not grow for me either.

I'm looking forward to REPARTEE blooming again this year. In 2004 this was
included in a box full of irises I received from Riverview! It wasn't on my
list, but I'm thankful it was included anyway. Memory is only so good and
I'm anxious to see how close the pattern comes to the more modern MASTERY.

If the recent cold nights haven't damaged bloom, I am expecting a wonderful
season. Such colors and patterns! Maybe even some new ones!

There are always spots where I wish my notes were better, but it is fun to
go through the older note books. Since my number one goal is rebloom, I
rarely have to wonder why I made a particular cross! Computer notes these days
will often give a projected result, but not always. Although, some are
frustration crosses made because a plant was just "there!"

Each year I swear I won't make any more "purple" crosses, but each year I
make more purple crosses! Some by accident! Purple irises just happen!

I think I'm envious of your earlier spring. But in mid summer I won't envy
your hot summers!
